Events on the farm
Yonder Highlands Farm is blessed with some amazing landscape and topography, providing a breathtaking setting for your big day. With the Highland Cows surrounding, the peaceful rural environment, and the one-of-a-kind facilities, you and your guests are sure to create some core memories. The venue is set around The Birdhouse, our flagship and world-famous treehouse, which provides the most unique backdrop, and a fairytale feeling as you cross the bridge towards the alter. Inside The Birdhouse is a bathroom, small prep-kitchen and lounge area, along with all the amenities your bridal party or guests might need. The outdoor gathering area is intentionally compact for an intimate and isolated feeling, and is south-facing towards a gorgeous mountain range with awesome sun exposure. Ample parking space is available, however, we have a set maximum of 10 vehicles and 30 guests allowed. We are a farm first, and place a ton of value on the serenity of our animals and our neighbourhood, so noise needs to be kept light. The day rental is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (set-up and take-down to be done inside this window) and includes full use of The Birdhouse and its surrounding area, as well as a coordinator for the day-of. We are happy to be able to provide the following upon request: Catering, Bartending, Tables, Chairs and Silverware, Custom Arbour, and Decor. Photoshoots
Capture your biggest milestones and favourite memories in a way that stands out from all the typical studio-produced photos. Get the most unique farm or western styled shoot available by immersing yourselves with our friendly Scottish Highland cattle. During your session, you can tour around the farm on our walking path to see all the different backdrops our landscape provides, and pick the optimal setting for the vibe you’re after. Our treehouse, The Birdhouse, is also available for these shoots and creates a whole different special feel - I’d try to describe it but our pictures say a thousand words. We are proud to be working with one of the best photographers in the Fraser Valley, Emily Peter. She is well known for her clean, vibrant and creative imagery and has a ton of experience working with our animals. For everyone’s safety around the farm, and to ensure our consistent standard of quality, we like to recommend Emily for all of our photoshoots. Wether its an engagement, maternity, holiday, proposal, or just for fun, your session here will be like no other.
